Adult Outpatient Treatment
When mental illness begins to impact your life and those around you, CFA’s adult outpatient behavioral health treatment can help. Adult Outpatient Treatment (AOT) allows caregivers of children receiving services through CFA’s Outpatient Clinic to address their own mental health needs. Lastly, adolescents who age out of our outpatient program may continue services with their clinician through AOT.

- Family Struggles, including transitions such as divorce, loss, and relocation
- Substance Abuse
- Perinatal and Maternal Mental Health
- AOT does NOT provide psychiatric evaluations or medication management

Most insurance is accepted.
Services are available to all residents of New London and Middlesex Counties over the age of 18.
No person shall be excluded from participation in, denied the benefits of, or be otherwise subjected to discrimination in the Agency’s programs or activities on the grounds of race, color, national origin, or disability. Inability to pay for healthcare or childcare services, or the use of Medicare, Medicaid, or the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) to pay for healthcare services. Provision will be made to assist clients who are members of national origin minority groups with language differences. Additionally, provision will be made to assist clients who are hearing impaired or have other special needs.

Child & Family Agency has several sites licensed by the State of Connecticut Department of Children and Families as Child Guidance Clinics and is licensed by the Department of Public Health as a child care facility and as an Outpatient Health Clinic. Our outpatient clinics have also been granted “Enhanced Care Clinic” status by the Department of Social Services.
